New officials may register in preparation for attending clinics to be held in winter 2023 or spring 2024. Full instructions may be viewed below or by clicking Become a Referee at the top of this page. The registration process for 2024 will remain open for new referee candidates into at least mid-May 2024.
Returning officials may now re-certify and extend their licensure through the entirety of 2024 (2023 licenses will expire on December 31, 2023). Instructions for doing so may be viewed below or by clicking Recertify for 2024 at the top of this page. The registration process for 2024 for returning officials will remain open until midnight on Wednesday, June 21, 2024.
Assignors can use either the video link or the PDF link below for instructions on how to get your 2023-2024 Assignor license. 2023-2024 Assignor licenses will expire on December 31, 2024.
Shakopee will be hosting an on-field training opportunity for new and inexperienced officials on Saturday, April 22 at Vaughn Field (200 10th Avenue E) in Shakopee from 9 AM to 2 PM. 80 spots are available for officials. If interested, please email Shaji Varghese at shajipv@gmail.com.
2022 US Soccer Referee certification for all officials in Minnesota is now open.
MNSRC is restarting classroom sessions for new referees in February 2022. If you are a new referee candidate, you will need to attend a class next spring to finish your certification.
Returning officials who are already 2021-certified may now renew for the entirety of 2022. If you are a returning official who did not certify in 2021, you may now complete 2022 certification and work games from completion through the end of 2022.
Referees who have completed certification in 2020 or 2021 are certified through December 31, 2021.
