Minutes of FSA Board Meeting
Sunday, April 11, 2010
Present:  Troy Temple, Shelly Prieve, Bob Palmquist, Brendan Cox, Pat Dudley, Steve Kletschka, Ann Weinkauf, Tim Schmidtke, Doug Zahn, Missy Plante



Treasurer’s Report:  gave us the balance in the checking account, keeping in mind that checks have not gone out yet

Fundraising:

  • At the 9-3 pm HyVee table, only 11 tickets were sold.  We are cancelling the rest of the dates at Nelson’s
  • Radio and newspaper ads
  • May 8 is the turn-in date

Field and Ref Coordinator Report:

  • There are 13 refs, schedule is based on availability and experience
  • 65 Home games, these will be sent to coaches
  • Reminder:  it is tough to get 6 refs a night
  • Coaches need to go through the process to change games, questions?  Please ask Missy

Team Updates

  • 2009, 135 players
  • 2010, 186 players
  • Teams are pretty much full

Soccer Complex Update

  • Carlander Field (Field 3) will be the game field for U13 and up
  • Rotary Field (Field 1) will be game field for U9, U10, U11 and U12
  • Receiving bids for the toilet/sewer line
  • Interior walls will possibly be painted by the prison
  • Bids for mowing will be received by Faribault Park and Rec
  • We will be watching the wear and tear on Field 1, placing goals at the Middle School, Roosevelt, Maple Lawn and possibly Jefferson will help

Next Meeting is June 13, 2010 at the Washington Center starting at 7:00 pm.
